Honeybee Hive in a Column

The honeybee colony had been repeatedly treated by drilling hoes in the column and spraying pesticides into the hive. The honeybees returned because the honey was not removed when the bees were killed. This is the wrong approach to honeybee removal in several ways.

Honeybee Removal Using a Bee Vac

We remove and relocate numerous honeybee colonies from homes in the Shreveport Bossier City Metropolitan Area in Louisiana. Honey bees are removed alive using a specially designed vacuum system called a beevac. The beevac draws the bees into their new home called a hive body which is loaded with comb and lure. Once removed, the bees are relocated in that hive body to a beekeeper’s Louisiana state certified apiary south of Bossier City Louisiana.
